This page describes cookies and browser storage used by Volatile Solutions at https://volatile-solutions.net.
1. Essential authentication
The administrator area uses Netlify Identity access and refresh cookies to maintain authenticated sessions. Authentication storage is needed for administrator access; visitors do not need an administrator account to browse the public site or submit a project inquiry. Administrator integration connection flows may also use a temporary browser-binding cookie when those integrations are enabled.
2. Optional analytics and consent
No optional analytics or advertising trackers are enabled for launch. The site has support for optional analytics and marketing tags, but those tags load only if configured and after the visitor accepts optional tracking. The public site asks you to Accept or Decline optional cookies. Your preference is recorded even while no optional trackers are enabled. Declining does not disable essential authentication, project inquiries or client document and booking functionality.
3. Consent preference storage
Your choice is stored in first-party browser localStorage under the key `cookie-consent-status`, with the value `accepted` or `declined`. No cookie is set to store this choice. It is shared across public pages on the same site and has no automatic expiry; clearing site storage removes it. Use Cookie Preferences beside the public footer’s legal links to reopen the panel and change your choice. If localStorage is unavailable, the choice is retained only in memory for the current visit, including navigation between public pages; a full reload may show the panel again. Without JavaScript, the consent panel remains hidden and optional tracking is not loaded.
4. Other browser storage
Browser storage can retain interface preferences when the corresponding controls are used. Project inquiry form values are held in the current page session rather than saved as a persistent browser draft. Authentication cookies and browser local storage are different mechanisms; clearing either can reset the related session or preference.
5. External services
The current public pages link to external portfolio and social services rather than embedding them. Following a link takes you to a separate service whose storage practices are independent. Netlify, Neon and Resend support hosting, project records and correspondence; they are not advertising trackers added to the public page by this site.
6. Browser controls
You can inspect, delete or restrict cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies can prevent administrator login. Cookie Preferences lets you change your optional-cookie choice. The consent panel is excluded from administrator pages and the separate proposal, invoice and booking layouts to keep those essential tasks unobstructed.
